Company Trimo Trebnje produces facade panels with length up to 14 m. They are stored on custom made metal palettes. A special system of shuttle cars, conveyors and storage retrieval machines has been developed to move transport units with dimensions 14.000 × 1.400 × 1.400 mm and weight 5.500 kg. The transport units are stored in high-bay warehouse with 800 locations. Four shuttle cars are used to convey the material to the input points. From there, two storage retrieval machines with 25 m of height distribute the units into the reach structure. 8 output lines in two levels are used to serve the distribution to trucks. Gorenje Indop has provided mechanical design and production, while Iskra Impuls has provide design, installation and commissioning of all control systems.
